Sustainable Resources in Public Administration

Council of Ministers Resolution 141/2018 of 26 October 2018

The aim of Council of Ministers Resolution (RCM) 141/2018 of 26 October, which entered into force on the day, is to foster a more sustainable use of resources in Public Administration by cutting back on the use of paper and plastic, offering environmental protection, process optimisation, and modernising administrative procedures.

The provisions contained in this Resolution apply to all of the Portuguese State, namely the members of Government’s cabinets, direct and indirect administration bodies, including the public institutes subject to special legal schemes, the State corporate sector and also, voluntarily, autonomous administration and public legal persons.

Adopting the measures set must take into account the good practice on a more sustainable use of resources and adopting circular solutions within Public Administration.
